Common glo™ Mistakes and How to Avoid Them

glo™ heated tobacco devices are designed to deliver a consistent and controlled experience through advanced heating technology. However, like any electronic device, performance depends on correct use and regular care.

Many of the most common issues reported by users are not faults, but simple usage mistakes that can be easily avoided. Below, we look at the most common glo™ mistakes and explain how to prevent them, so you can use your device correctly and confidently.

1. Not waiting for the device to be fully ready

To start a session, press and hold the button for about 3 seconds to activate either Standard or Boost mode. The device needs a short warm-up period before it is ready to use.

A common mistake is starting too early. Always wait until:
• all LED lights indicate readiness
• the device signals that heating is complete
Using the device before it is fully ready can affect the session and overall experience.

How to avoid it:
Be patient during the warm-up phase and wait for the visual or vibration signals before using the device.

2. Reusing the device immediately after a session

After a session ends, the device and the heating chamber are still warm. Starting a new session too quickly can cause performance issues.

How to avoid it:
Allow the device to cool down properly before using it again. Waiting a few minutes between sessions helps protect the heating system and ensures consistent performance.

3. Using non-compatible consumables

glo™ devices are designed to work only with compatible tobacco sticks specifically made for heating. Using incompatible sticks or traditional cigarettes can damage the device and interrupt proper heating.

How to avoid it:
Only use consumables designed for glo™ devices and compatible with the heating chamber. Never insert traditional cigarettes or other objects into the device.

4. Leaving the heating chamber open after use

After each session, the heating chamber should be properly closed. Leaving it open can allow dust, debris or moisture to enter the device, potentially affecting performance.

How to avoid it:
Always close the protective cover or shutter after each session to keep the heating chamber clean and protected.

5. Not cleaning the device regularly

Over time, moisture and residue can build up inside the heating chamber. Skipping regular cleaning is one of the most common reasons for reduced performance or taste issues.

How to avoid it:
•    Allow the device to cool down before cleaning
•    Remove moisture from the bottom area regularly
•    Use the cleaning brush provided to clean the heating chamber from both ends

As a general guideline:
•    remove moisture after every few sessions
•    clean the heating chamber more thoroughly after extended use
Always clean the brush itself with water and dry it completely before reuse.

6. Using the device in extreme temperatures

Very low or very high temperatures can affect battery performance and heating efficiency. This may trigger LED warnings or cause the device to stop working temporarily.

How to avoid it:
Use and charge the device in moderate temperatures. If an error indicator appears, stop using the device, allow it to return to normal temperature, and consult the user instructions or customer support if needed.

7. Removing the tobacco stick too soon after the session

At the end of a session, the tobacco stick may still be hot. Removing it immediately can cause discomfort or minor burns.

How to avoid it:
Wait a short time after the session ends to allow the stick and device to cool down before removing it safely.

Final tip
Most glo™ issues can be avoided by:
•    following the correct usage steps
•    paying attention to device signals
•    allowing proper cooling and cleaning

Using the device as intended helps maintain performance, safety and consistency over time.
