WHAT MAKES glo SO DIFFERENT FROM CIGARETTES?
Switching to heated tobacco is a choice with many surprising implications.
At first glance, the sticks of real tobacco designed for use with glo may seem similar to traditional cigarettes. Both have a filter and because they contain real tobacco leaves, they both release nicotine (which is naturally present in tobacco). The taste in both cases is of real tobacco, but in cigarettes it is the taste of burning tobacco, while for glo it is that of heated tobacco.
glo rapidly heats the tobacco to a temperature of 260°C without ever burning it. Traditional cigarettes, on the other hand, reach 900°C and generate combustion.
The real change is in daily habits.
Because the tobacco is heated and not burned (no combustion), an aerosol is generated without the solid particles present in cigarette smoke, which means that less odour is released (and it is less persistent) and no ash or residue is produced.
