glo™ & βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη: Στήριξη σε πάνω από 1.600 οικογένειες
By doubling the proceeds from the sale of the clothes of one of the most sustainable collections ever created, BAT Hellas made a significant donation to Fabric Republic , supporting more than 1,600 families and people in need.
The Fabric Republic organization collects surplus clothing and gives it a second chance at life, recycling and reusing it, while at the same time employing people belonging to socially vulnerable groups.
Through this action, it is estimated that 1,660 families have gained access to clean clothing, citizens from vulnerable social groups have gained employment, while 1,160 kilograms of clothing do not end up in landfills and 7,750 kilograms of carbon dioxide are not released into the environment.
Three artists, Vasiliki Roussou (designer), Sotiris Fokeas (street artist) and Nikos Zikos (photographer), collaborated and created, within the framework of the action “Support Art &more, powered by glo”, a modern collection of clothing products with environmentally friendly materials, which interested parties were able to find at discoverglo.gr .
"From the theory of sustainable development, to practice" could be the alternative motto of this original initiative that is part of the company's ongoing investments in the Greek economy, bringing significant innovations to the Greek market, such as the glo tobacco heating product .
The action was successfully completed, leaving a tangible imprint not only of objects of high aesthetic and environmental value, but also a significant amount of money donated to a good cause. The creation of the sustainable fashion collection reminded us that the path of care – aimed either at the environment or at fellow human beings – opens with creative and targeted acts of giving.
BAT Hellas is one of the leading companies in the Greek market, with a significant contribution to the Greek economy and society, high distinctions in employment issues and an emphasis on innovative initiatives.
